Sigitas Geda (1943-2008) was one of the most peculiar Lithuanian poets, a playwright, eritie, translator and essayist (he has translated Psalm of the Psalms, Georgian, Armenian, old Greek, Babylonian, Japanese and Egyptian poetry, etc.). The translations of ancient cultures texts, the relicts of ide parent language, recoil towards primordial Christian forms and the wedding of the latter two became not only an original literary phenomenon but also a really strong form of inner resistance to Soviet ideological totalitarianism. The paper refers to the works of V.Karbusicky, C.G.Jung, V.Daujotyte, R.Ziemyte, S. Valentas, the reference is made to comparative methodology.
