More and more advanced organizations make the decision to optimize their management system by taking the integrated management system (further - IMS), including quality, employees‘ safety and health, social responsibility and control of social environment to the international standards. The goal of the article is to describe the potential benefits of integrated management systems for organizations, which are seeking to optimize processes of management and to highlight possible disadvantages and problems of development. The analysis of scientific literature, introducing the requirements and models of IMS, the analysis of statistics and empirical research shows, that the expansion of integrated management systems is based on the principal advantages of organizational control systems. However, standardization of IMS by one document is difficult due to the goals of organization, the variety of features and uncertainty of control, which is influenced by constantly changing environment.
