Straipsnyje aptariami Mykolo Romerio universiteto Kauno policijos fakulteto pirmojo kurso studentų sakytinės kalbos įgūdžiai, viešojo kalbėjimo ugdymo būdai. Remiantis 2003 m. rekomenduota Specialybės kalbos programa siekiama pagrįsti viešojo kalbėjimo mokymo svarbą. Būsimiesiems pareigūnams būtina išmokti taisyklingos, logiškos kalbos, įgyti diskusijų gebėjimų ir išmanyti viešojo kalbėjimo metodikas.
The article deals with the skills of spoken language and the methods of development of speaking in public. The results of the research carried out at Mykolas Romeris university Kaunas Faculty of Police and presented. On the basis of the recommended program of speciality language and the answer results the aim of the article is to ground the importance of development of speaking in public. It is very significant for officers to develop communication skills, share information, know the fundamentals of speaking in public to be successful in their studies and future careers.
