The quantitative data were collected using a ąuestionnaire survey. The questionnaire, which consisted of 38 closed and semi-open questions, was sent to the leaders of the home owners‘ organizations in Vilnius and Kaunas. Totally, there were 224 respondents ąuestioned: 154 in Vilnius and 70 in Kaunas. This book examines housing policy and public initiatives in the urban context from the multidisciplinary point of view; it combmes the views ot sociology public administration and political science to study housing policy and public initiatives in the urban environment. This approach has been fairly underdeveloped in the scientific literature in Lithuania.
