In this article authors discuss about the financial problems of national broadcaster of Lithuania, its mission, meaning and necessity to society, others alternatives of financing which are possible, responsibility for using finances of the budget of the state. The question of the financing of national broadcaster is topical to all countries. Even those countries, which don't regulate their national broadcasters activity by special laws, in order to avoid dependence from the authority, avoid intruding into national broadcaster's activity, seeking to secure the clearness of financing, the legality of using finances, they seeks to determine legally the framework and order of financing. In authors view, national financing of public broadcaster must be undoubtedly consummated by making particular objective allocation programs, by applying differentiated model of financing, by making direct connection between LRT activity and national financing. Independent long-term financing would allow national broadcaster to implement rational long-term financial policy, which would secure the implementation of its purposes and functions. One of such models of financing - introduction of subscription for LRT services. Idea of subscription is based on that people financing the national broadcaster would have the right to check national broadcaster's work. Every one of us would know how much and for what pays. Whereas the politics wouldn 't have the right to intrude into national broadcaster's activity and influence it.
