The paper deals with both psychological and social aspects of child adoption process. Main focus is directed towards psychological cases of pre-adoption and post-adoption. The research problem states that adoption as a phenomenon is multidimensional and multimeaningful and it helps the child to have the safe home and new family environment. On the other hand, the child experiences many other losses and one of them is social stigmatization. Adopted children have to cope with their identification difficulties and develop the close relations with otbers. Sometimes they have troubles with that and do not create trustful attachment bonds with peers or adoptive parents. The research question is concerned about identifying main factors influencing the adopted child's best interests in the new family regarding hisĮher psychosocial context, needs, experience, and development pecculiarities. Research focus - psychosocial features of adopted children on the basis of legal regulation, pre and post-adoption contexts, and meeting those children best needs. The research aim is to analyze adoption psychosocial paradigma meanings for child's development favorability. Conclusions. Theoretical analysis allows to stress that adopted child's pre-adoption experience is full of negative factors that influence multiple disorders of personality development and behavioural problems. Adopting parents face the challenges of uderstanding and acceptance of special needs of adoptee related to loss and grieving, formulating extended identity and the life story that differs from average-usual child's living with birth parents life story. Therefore open adoption with all it's conditions and subsequence is reliable for the best interest of adopted child and have to be widely promoted.
