The aim of research is to compare the attitude of saidents to physical education and their studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education and the attitude of students, specializing in sports pedagogics, to physical education and sport in Essen University. 53% of students from Essen University and 43% of students from LAPE considered a PE manual useful for pupils at school. Accordingly, 62% and 78% of respondents thought that having PE lessons twice a week is not sufficient. Most Lithuanian (84%) and Germann (68%) students claimed they are ready to provide pupils with knowledge about a healthy life style. Most Lithuanian and German students assumed that a positive attitude to sport influences success in life (accordingly 70% and 79%).
