Evaluation of the entrepreneurship education system in Lithuania higher education schools

Abstract

The article examines the influence of higher university education on development of entrepreneur-ship of young people in Lithuania. It analyzes the causes of the problem and the main factors influencing lack of entrepreneurial knowledge and its practical implementation. The aim of the article is to analyze the Lithuanian higher university teacher training educational system and to provide the content of entrepreneurship education system for training of the prospective teachers. The research methods: evaluation of the documents regulating the entrepreneurship, assessment of entrepreneurship education programs of educational institutions, a comparative analysis, and surveying. The paper analyzes the current entrepreneurship education system of Lithuanian education and its structure. The research has been carried out to determine the attitudes of students towards the entrepreneurship education process, and the proposal was made regarding improvements of the curriculum for the higher pedagogical university education in order to reach entrepreneurship development.
