Availability and speed of information delivered nowadays by internet, on [spreads of user-friendly information .systems induce business networks lo grow. Implementing technological solutions such as internet-based interconnections business networks have much more advantages than independent organizations and. at the same time, have some problems in combining business models with information systems architecture. The paper discusses the fundamentals of methodology for assessment of business networks. The methodology is based on principles of conceptual modelling, ontology creation and networking systems. Methodological point of view is applied for considering value-based business systems with main focus on how economic value is created, exchanged and consummated within of a network. Conceptual model of Lithuania's electricity market illustrates e3-value methodology. On the basis of this analysis requirements for adaptation information systems planning methodology for business networks ideas are considered for the purpose of enable alignment between a business models and information systems architecture.
