In close cooperation with courts and tribunals of the Member States as well as other key actors, the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) is creating a Professional Development Series aimed at providing courts and tri- bunals with a full overview of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS) on a step-by-step basis. Following consultations with the EASO network of court and tribunal members, including IARLJ-Europe, it became apparent that there was a pressing need to make available to courts and tribunals judicial professional development materials on certain core subjects dealt with in their day-to-day decision-making. It was recognised that the process for developing such core materials required the involvement of judicial and other experts in a manner fully respecting the principle of independence of the judiciary. The Judicial Analysis aims to provide an analysis of qualification for international protection under the recast Qualification Directive 2011/95/EU (QD (recast)) for courts and tribunals of Member States.en
