Small and medium-sized businesses have a significant impact on the economy of each country. Small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of the economy and contribute significantly to the innovation, economic growth and job creation. Small businesses more flexibly adapt to sudden changes of economic development, it involves people less dependent on the unfavourable situation in the labour market, so the conditions that are favourable for the business should be given special attention. The attractiveness of the business environment is one of the key success factors of doing business in the country, and its international competitiveness and attractiveness, which is especially important in attempts to attract foreign investment. State-run enterprise development policies should be focused on innovation, creativity, initiative, investment capabilities and competitiveness of the country's enterprises providing a favourable business environment.
