Straipsnyje apžvelgiami ir analizuojami ES struktūrinės politikos pokyčiai prasidėjus naujajam programavimo periodui. Straipsnio pradžioje trumpai apžvelgiama ES struktūrinės politikos raida, kuri suformulavo pagrindinius struktūrinės politikos principus. Toliau analizuojamas struktūrinės politikos finansinių instrumentų pertvarkymas. atkreipiamas dėmesys, kad 2007-2013 m. struktūrinės politikos finansiniais instrumentais lieka 3fondai. o išformaliai struktūrinių lieka tik 2 fondai. Taip pat straipsnyje nagrinėjami naujieji struktūrinės politikos prioritetai. Atliekama Europos teritorinio bendradarbiavimo grupių teisinė analizė. Galiausiai bandoma pagrįsti teiginį, kad struktūrinė politika perauga į sanglaudos politiką.
The article analyses changes of EU structural policy in the new programming period of 2007 - 2013. In the beginning of the article the evaluation of EU structural policy is made, which allows to formulate the main principles of structural policy. Subsequent reconstruction of financial instruments of structural policy is analysed, and attention is paid to the fact that from 2007 only two structural funds formally remain. Combined with financial instruments for structural policy there are three funds in total. Also in the article an analysis of new objectives of structural policy is made. Legal bases for European territorial cooperation grouping is also analyzed. Finally, the article affirms that structural policy develops to cohesion policy.
