The paper deals with indicators for assessment of quality of life in housing sector. The quality of life is being assessed by applying various dimensions, various indicators. Housing is a fundamental component of quality of life. Without appropriate shelter, people cannot meet their basic needs and participate adequately in society. Housing issues can have flow-on effects for health, education and community wellbeing. The changing demand for housing and supply constraints can put pressure on an urban area’s natural and social environment and affect a city’s ability to provide suitable infrastructure and services. The system of housing indicators was developed. The trends of housing indicators in Lithuania were compared with EU-27 average. The housing indicators reflecting the quality of life can be assessed by applying quality of housing, quality of housing environment and housing cost burdens indicators.
