Analyzes of manifestations of the modern interstate confrontation of the beginning of the XXI century, when in the conditions of globalization the time of modern wars of the fourth generation, which in the modern world terminology field is called "hybrid wars", has come. The essential properties of this type of conflicts, qualitatively new parameters related to changes in the security environment in the conditions of globalization are studied. The main stages of conducting the "hybrid war" of Russia against Ukraine and the characteristic features are considered.
