The article presents results of the survey on the relationship of occupational burnout to the work-family interaction among the police officers. In this research the occupational burnout refers to a syndrome that involves emotional exhaustion, cynicism and devaluation of professional goals. The aim of the survey was to determine the level of occupational exhaustion among police officers taking into consideration socio-demographic characteristics – gender, age, education, family status and others. Another aim of the research was to analyze whether occupational burnout among police officers is related to the interplay between work and family. During the research the work-family interaction was distinguished into 1) work-family conflict and b) positive work-family interaction.
