Thesis topic: Possibilities of strengthening the learning motivation of 7th - 8th grade students during distance learning, using Zoom and Kahoot platforms, in geography lessons. The aim of the research: to examine the ways of strengthening the learning motivation of 7th - 8th (former 6th - 7th) students during distance learning, using the Zoom and Kahoot platforms, in geography lessons. Research methods: 1. Theoretical. Review of scientific literature and educational documents. 2. Empirical. A mixed test method was used in the study. A qualitative study was carried out with geography teachers of the X district municipality, who taught geography at a distance to the former 6th to 7th (current 7th to 8th) grades in the previous school year, and a quantitative study with 7th to 8th grade students. The qualitative research, using focus group interviews, involved 4 geography teachers from district X educational institutions who worked remotely with students in grades 6 to 7 (current 7 to 8) last year. 406 students in grades 7-8 (formerly in grades 6-7) participated in the quantitative study using a questionnaire. The main structure of the work: chapter 1 - the concept of learning motivation, chapter 2 - the peculiarities of distance learning organization, chapter 3 - the possibilities of strengthening the learning motivation of 7th - 8th grade students during distance learning, using Zoom and Kahoot platforms, geography lessons, conclusions, recommendations, literature, summary, appendices. Results: The Zoom and Kahoot platforms were among the main platforms used by District X municipal educational institutions for distance learning. Pupils 'learning motivation was reduced, but distance learning activated pupils' self-directed learning and encouraged them to take more responsibility for themselves. Teachers emphasize that one of the main challenges in mastering interactive tools during distance learning is time management.
