Migration is a natural social - demographic occurrence, the result of nowadays globalization. Financial, social and physical secure are the main push factors of the migration. The dementions of international emigration are growing, the directions are changing. During all historical periods young people consisted the main part of emigrants. That is because a young person is more flexible on different living, cultural conditions, seeks for new experience and changes. But at the same time, the emigration of a young person is the biggest threat for the country. Becouse country looses the most energetic manpower, innovational potential. The worst thing is that country looses people with high education. Evenmore, there are other problems that lead migration : people trade, loosing national identity, criminal lithuanian’s situation increase aboard that leads bad reputation of Lithuania in all over the word, etc. Of course, person is responsible for his own future and life, but we can not deny that mistakes in laws sometimes can be the hindrances to seek for the better future. That’s why a person, especially a young one, looks for a better financial and social opportunities aboard. There should be more attention payed to the prevention of emigration. Also its important to work on getting more business and other kind of investments in small towns and regions of Lithuania to keep young people to live there. Regardless of all problems, living level in Lithuania is increasing, young people become more optimistic about living and working in native country, it is a better chance for emigrants to return. Main conceptions (key words) connected with youth migration : migration, neto migration, emigration, international and internal migration, economic migration, forced and voluntary migration.
