The funds of European Union Social Fund are designed for the improvement of the efficiency of human resources, creation and development of social facilities. It is the main financial tool of the European Union’s employment policy. The main objective is to support employment and stimulate development of human resources. In the period of 2007-2013 the amount of funds committed to ensure this type of development is going to reach about 3.74 billion Litas. So it is really important to ensure expedient and effective use of these resources by creating effective system for the administration of those funds, by ensuring it’s operating and the mechanisms of control. The aim of the work was to evaluate the actual system of EU Social Fund administration and it��s integral parts, to identify the main problems and defects. To reach the goal witch was mentioned above this work studied the main principles of EUSF funds administration, the legal basis of administration system, the activity instructions, their functions and principles. The main emphasized point while analysing the main objectives of the system and the interinstitutional interaction was the implementiny institution – Support Foundation European Social Fund Agency - functions and structure of activities.
