Abstract

SUMMARY Name of the final work – The juridical and organization problems of police activity while ensuring public order and public safety in massive events. Key words: police, public order, massive events, ensuring of public security. Content of summary The theme, analysed in the final work is relevant, as an efficient and secure ensuring of public order and public safety in massive events is achieved only with the help of well-run organized, police divisions activity on educational basis. The heads of police institutions, public police and their divisions must have profound theoretical knowledge and practical skills, to use progressive experience by organizing and implementing security of public order and public safety in massive events. Therefore, with a purpose to ensure efficient and professional usage of police officers, means and their proper management, ensuring public order and safety in massive events and eliminating possible breaches of law and order, at first it is essential to analyze juridical and organizational presumptions of public order and public safety ensuring in massive events. This final work is intended for the analysis of these issues. Thus, in this final work, with reference to the example of Senior police comisariat of Šiauliai town, juridical and organizational problems while ensuring public order and public safety during massive events, were stated. In the work, while seeking thorough analysis of discussed questions, with reference to analysis of provisions of scientific literature juridical acts, regulating public order and safety during massive events and empirical method, i.e. data analysis of Public police poll of Šiauliai town Senior police commisarriat, at first the conception of ensuring public order and public safety in massive events and juridical regulation peculiarities were cleared out, the purpose and role of police by ensuring public order and safety in massive events was evaluated, also experience of Šiauliai town Senior police commisarriat while ensuring public order and public safety during massive events in the region was discussed and suggestions how police activity should be improved while ensuring public order and safety in massive events, were presented.
