Abstract

Referring to the document, scientific literature analysis and the results of the sociological research, the master degree paper “Strategic Change Management Problems at Molėtai District Secondary Schools” discloses the problems of the strategic changes at Lithuanian and mainly Molėtai district secondary schools. The objectives of the paper are to analyze the methodological questions of strategic change management and to provide empirical evidence of strategic change tribulations at Molėtai district secondary schools. The master degree paper consists of five parts. The first one aims at revealing the essential methodological questions on strategic change management. The second part presents the conception of alteration in educational system as well as a short review on peculiarities of educational change in Central and Eastern Europe. The third one is meant to disclose management of strategic change problems in Lithuanian educational system. The fourth part presents comprehensively the current situation of Molėtai region secondary schools and provides the reader with the SWOT analysis. The fifth part discusses the results of the sociological investigation and draws the conclusion
