Rehabilitation programmes for persons who have dependence on narcotic substances are analysed in this postgraduate work, as well trying to find out the efficiency of these programmes. Spotlighting threat and subsequence of drugs’ usage, different types of narcotic substances and problems, which are caused by them, are discussed in theoretical part of the work. Spread of drugs in Lithuania creates real danger not only for person’s physical and psychical condition, but it destroys personality together with it languish spiritual and creative potencies of society. Possibilities of drug addict’s treatment and rehabilitation are reviewed in this work. Making reference to scientific literature, drug addict rehabilitation’s conception is defined, specialities of rehabilitation programmes which are applied for drug addicts in Lithuania and other countries are reviewed. In practical part of the work methodology of quantitative analysis, which is used to examine the efficiency of rehabilitation programmes applied to drug addicts, is described. During research 39 persons were questioned, to whom one or another rehabilitation programme or their complex were applied for. There was designated that rehabilitation programmes applied for drug addicts in Lithuania are only partially effective, lack of busyness and incomplete qualified psychological support are one of the main causes of rehabilitation programmes’ inefficiency.
