Author of this final study is analyzing the question: is the international law public or private? International law is generally understandable as international private law. Though, sometimes meaning of international law is expanded and covers international public law and international private law. Also we need to admit, that there is no straight differentiation of public and private norms. Necessity in international law is mostly achieved by self-cooperation of different countries, when separate country enacts function of public predominance by enacting functions of necessity. International public law and international private law are connected to each other because of certain aspects of international cooperation. Besides, some of international public and international private institutes, adjustable international economical relations and sources are similar (e.g. national immunity). However, we can also find many differences between international private law and international public law, which reflect in the names of these ranges. Link between international private law and international public law is analyzed in this final study: similarities and differences. The main aim of this study is to unfold the relation between private international law and private public law, identifying main problems and providing possible solutions. Content of international public law and international private law is widely unfolded in studies of foreign authors. Evans M. International law (2003), Martin Dixon. Textbook on International law (1993), Тункин Г.И. Международное право (2000) and others. Studies of civil law, international law, studies of doctor in social science (law) R.Stanislovaitis, Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania and other acts of law are used to unfold the subject of the study.
