Abstract

The paper broadly analyzes the regime concept of the national Klaipeda’s seaport. The paper not only aims at providing the legal condition of this seaport, but it also aims at reviewing the development tendencies. Moreover, it is focused on the substantial historical and legal moments of the seaport and it analyzes the concept of the seaport in a comparison between National and International Acts. Furthermore: the paper provides us with some suggestions for a possible solution considering the problem of the seaport control. Questions involving the problem of the seaport copyhold (ground lease), especially the one concerned with the permission and prohibition of subtenancy (license), are examined here also. Conclusion shows that several legislations must be edited and special checking technique must be prepared in order to make the allotment more clear and competition more balanced.
