Master theses covers the conception of business secret, its features, objects and aspects of legal protection. It is stated that not all information can be regarded as business secret. According to the conception of business secret, each individual decides upon what should be regarded as business secret. Information, which is regarded as business secret, should be described in details: composing knowledge list containing business secret, identifying responsible persons that are allowed to be acquainted with information regarded as business secret; introducing with the responsibility for loosing or disclosing business secret and etc. Taking in consideration increasing competition between different companies and growing technical progress, legal protection of business secret (information not for public declare) becomes more and more important and relevant. Protection of business secret is ensured by legal system of Lithuania. Disclosure of business secret can bring civil, demerit, administrative and criminal liability. The basis of this Master thesis analysis is criminal liability as it is the hardest liability for business secret disclosure.
