Riga : Latvijas Policijas akadēmija, 2009, nr. 2(47)., p. 32-40The authors of the article bring forward hypothesis that EU law influences the national criminal law of the Member States and this impact both accepting new treaties and analyzing Jurisprudence of the Court of Justice increases. The authors discuss if there is the possibility of direct application of EU norms in criminal law, and how real is the idea of the common criminal code. The research is done by making the historic and comparative analysis of EC and EU treaties and practical significance of adequate norms analyzing the Jurisprudence of European Court of Justice.

Riga : Latvijas Policijas akadēmijas izdevums, 2007, Nr. 2 (39)., p. 21-28In the article the author introduces one kind of specialized courts, which are popular and spreading especially in the USA. The author discusses their aims, principles of activity, their effectiveness in fighting with drug addicts making crimes because of their bad habit and their meaning for decreasing the level of criminality. The author decided to analyze drug courts because today it is one of the most successful institutions for fighting criminals - drug addicts' problems. In the year 2000 institutions of United Nations created project law for introduction of drug courts in civil law countries. In revealing the principles of drug courts the author discusses the possibilities to enact such institution in Lithuania and gives concrete proposal how to establish them in practice.

Ужгород : Лiра, 2007, Вып. 1., p. 73-77The author of the article discusses the possibility to institute drug testing in the workplace. In reaching the aforementioned goal the author first of all discusses problems in society related to abuse of alcohol and other drugs, than looks to USA policy and practise implementing drug testing in the workplace and related legal problems with the 4th amendment of US Constitution and Medical Information act. Lastly the author discusses the possibilities to implement such policy in Lithuania analysing related clauses of Lithuanian Labour code and other legal acts. The author makes hypothesis that Lithuanian legal acts are too vague for implementation of the discussed policy.
