Professor Alain Pietrancosta (Sorbonne Law School) visit

Abstract

During his week at MRU, he contributed to a rich academic program: Served on the dissertation defense committee for Tomas Stundys’ dissertation “Regulatory models concerning the attribution of duties and civil liability in groups of companies (and their value chain extensions)”. Delivered a lecture to MRU doctoral and master’s students on “The recent shift in European public company law, driven by the imperative to enhance the attractiveness of European financial markets.” Gave specialized lectures on corporate capital and securities markets to students of the Joint Master’s Program on European and International Business Law. Presented “Due Diligence Duties: the EU CS3D and the French and German Experiences” at the Supreme Court of Lithuania for judges, their assistants, and MRU students.
