Peculiarities of concentration of airborne pollen grains in the northern part of Lithuania are described. The choice of the pollen types for investigation based on pollen grain abundance and allergenity. The pollen was collected with a Burkard spore trap. Twelve transversal transverses of microscope slides corresponding to two-hour periods were analyzed. The central part of northern Lithuania distinguishes for richness of birch and nettle pollen emission, 6799,70 pollen grains/m3 and 6637,10 pollen grains/m3 accordingly. The dangerous grass pollen discharge (reached 113 pollen grains/m3 in peak days) was fixed in coastal zone of Lithuania. The investigation showed that credible measure the aeropalinological situation in Lithuania of air pollution caused by allergenic airborne pollen should be fixed in several monitoring stations. Than the getting results may help physicians to identify allergens and find out the cause of the patients' symptoms.
