Comprehensive assessment of the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemicItem type:Publication, [Комплексна оцінка економічних наслідків пандемії Covid-19]research article[2020][S1b][S004][6] ;Simak, S. ;Davydiuk, Yu. ;Burdeina, N. ;Budiaiev, M. ;Taran, O.Науковий вiсник = Naukovyi visnyk Natsionalnoho Hirnychoho Universytetu : peer-reviewed journal. Dnipropetrovsk : State Higher Educational Institution National Mining University, 2020, no. 6 (180)., p. 168-173Purpose. To analyse and summarize some aspects of the negative impact of coronavirus infection Covid-19 and to provide a comprehensive assessment of the consequences of the pandemic on the world economy and the economy of Ukraine in particular. Methodology. The study used a comprehensive analytical assessment of the impact of the pandemic on the world economy, based on reports and prognostic assessments of well-known scientists and experts, international financial and credit rating organizations, as well as personal observations of the authors. Findings. The obtained results testify the aggravation of the economic situation in the world and in Ukraine in particular. In a short time (six months), world GDP decreased by almost 4 %, and in such major countries as the United States – by 9.1 %, the EU – by 14.4 %, Ukraine – by 11.4 %. This is evidenced by declining industrial production, declining productivity, bankruptcy and liquidation of small, micro and individual entrepreneur enterprises, declining household incomes and rising unemployment. There is a situation when governments do not focus on the development of the internal market, but increase the amount of credit resources taken to cover the balance sheet deficit. Incentives implemented in most countries around the world to support the business environment and the population show that this level reaches 10–25 % of GDP. At the same time, the current fund in Ukraine was only 1.5 %, which is clearly insufficient. The introduction of strict restrictions in Ukraine in 5 stages has led to the closure of many small businesses and individual entrepreneurs, which reduces revenues to budgets at various levels. Thus, the spheres most affected by quarantine measures were arts, sports, entertainment and recreation (almost 80 % drop in income), research and development (73 %) forestry and logging (67 %), the least affected – financial and insurance activities (only 5.4 %). Thus, the projections developed by leading international and credit rating institutions indicate the disappointing consequences for the world economy by the end of 2020, after which a gradual thawing will begin. However, it is unclear how the economic recovery will continue if quarantine measures continue. This may be evidence of erroneous forecasts and the deepening recession in the world economy. Originality. We propose to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the main indicators of the state and development of the economic situation using the following indicators: annual GDP growth, ratio of public debt to GDP, unemployment, consumer price index, annual inflation, industrial production, business confidence and consumer confidence index. The set of these indicators reflects the trend of economic development in a crisis situation. Practical value. This technique can be used by specialists of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, research institutions and institutes, individual scientists as a basis for monitoring the situation in the country and regions during the economic crisis.

Dnipropetrovsk : State Higher Educational Institution National Mining University, 2020, no. 4 (178)., p. 146-151Purpose. Formation of methodological foundations for assessing the innovative development potential of an industrial enterprise. The rationale for the use of a comprehensive system of indicators that will allow conducting assessment of the ability of its innovative development, identifying the risks and threats that affect the innovative activity of the enterprise. Definition of an approach to assessing not only quantitative indicators, but also qualitative ones regarding the innovative development potential of an industrial enterprise. Methodology. In the research process, the following general scientific and applied research methods were used: analysis and synthesis, deduction and induction were used to determine factors of influence on the internal and external environment of an industrial enterprise; systematization and generalization for calculating the generalizing indicator; expert assessments – when determining factors of influence on the internal and external environment of an industrial enterprise; multidimensional scaling – when calculating a complex indicator of the potential for innovative development of an industrial enterprise. Findings. The methodological foundations for assessing the potential for innovative development of an industrial enterprise have been formed using an integrated approach to assessing its innovative development, which, unlike existing approaches, including assessing the financial condition of an enterprise and evaluating the internal and external factors of innovative activity of a business entity, makes it possible to substantiate a strategy for innovative development of an industrial enterprise. It is proposed to evaluate the innovative potential of enterprises on the basis of two groups of indicators: quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the assessment of the external and internal environment. The first group of indicators for assessing the external environment is represented by the following factors: market parameters, socio-economic trends in the external environment, competition within the industry, the influence of buyers and suppliers. The second group of indicators for assessing the internal environment is represented by the following factors: technical, technological, material, innovative, financial, personnel, information, marketing and organizational. It is proposed to use the multidimensional scaling method to determine a comprehensive indicator for assessing the innovative potential of an industrial enterprise. Such an approach to assessing allows developing a scientifically based basis for constructing an effective innovation strategy and a strategic management system for innovative activities of an enterprise. Originality. A comprehensive methodological approach to assessing the innovative development potential of an industrial enterprise has been substantiated, which, unlike existing approaches, includes assessing the financial condition of an enterprise and evaluating the internal and external factors of innovative activity of a business entity, which makes it possible to substantiate the innovative development strategy of an industrial enterprise using multidimensional scaling. Practical value. The methodological basis for assessing the innovative development potential of an industrial enterprise and the research results can be used for further scientific developments in this direction, as well as in the practical activities of industrial enterprises to assess their innovative potential and formulation of development strategies. The methodological approach to assessing the innovative development potential of an industrial enterprise is based on an integrated approach to assessing quantitative and qualitative indicators.

In 2006 and 2012 anonymous survey of illegal drug use conducted in the Northern Lithuania among 16–19 year old senior students (1585 boys and 1862 girls). Class participation in the study were selected randomly. In 2006 distributed 2770 questionnaires, but were suitable for analysis – 1177 (response rate 94.2 percent). The statistical analysis of data using SPSS 17.0 for Windows. Results and conclusions. In 2006 and 2012 rates of use of most illicit drugs among students held at almost the same level, but use of marijuana and alcohol with marijuana for 6 years was statistically significantly increased by almost half. in addition to marijuana use among students remain popular club drugs such as amphetamine and ecstasy. The use of other illegal drugs (cocain, crack, LSD, heroin, other drugs intake with a syringe) is not as high as 1 percent. Some students first drug testing usually got a full charge: 32.6 percent received from older friends, 25.5 percent – drugs shared with a group of friends, 14.0 percent received from peers, 3.9 percent had received from unfamiliar people and 2.8 percent got the drugs from strangers. Other students for the first test drugs purchased: 8.5 percent – from friends, 7.1 percent – the unfamiliar people and 2.4 percent – the general stranger. More than half of the pupils to the question whether it is difficult to get the drug, he replied "do not now" or "impossible". However, 26.6 percent stated that it is very easy or fairly easy to obtain cannabis, 16 percent – LSD or other hallucinogens, 11.6 percent – amphetamines, 12.9 percent – ecstasy. That and other drugs is very easy or fairly easy to get – answered in less than 10 percent students.
10 Effects of urban rail noise level in a residential areaItem type:Publication, research article[2014][S1][T004,T009,M004][10] ;Grubliauskas, Raimondas ;Strukčinskienė, Birutė ;Raistenskis, Juozas ;Selevičienė, Vaiva ;Buckus, Raimondas ;Januševičius, TomasJournal of vibroengineering. Kaunas : JVE International, 2014, vol. 16, no. 2., p. 987-996Transport, including railways, is one of the main sources of noise, with a particularly strong negative impact on the environment, and on the health of children and adults. Train noise depends on the types of trains, track-type driving, driving speed and driving mode. Noise levels also depends on the rotation of the wheels on the track and on the short track wheel beats connections. The results of measurements showed that urban rail noise analyzed in the residential area is a serious problem, which needs addressing various organizational and technical measures. It was found that the rail transport caused equivalent and maximum noise levels of 20 m from the railway in the residential area were approximately 20 dB above the permissible noise levels. During the day, noise tests exceeded the permissible levels in nearly 80 % of all measurements. At night, the noise levels exceeded allowances on each of all noise level measurements. Statistical analysis of the results showed that the noise level is dependent on the train type and distance to the railway track.

Kidlington : Pergamon, 2014, vol, 67, no 7., p. 1407-1420The development of numerical methods for the solution of partial differential equations (PDEs) with nonlocal boundary conditions is important, since such type of problems arise as mathematical models of various real-world processes. We use radial basis function (RBF) collocation technique for the solution of a multidimensional linear elliptic equation with classical Dirichlet boundary condition and nonlocal integral conditions. RBF-based meshless methods are easily implemented and efficient, especially for multidimensional problems formulated on complexly shaped domains. In this paper, properties of the method are investigated by studying two- and three-dimensional test examples with manufactured solutions. We analyze the influence of the RBF shape parameter and the distribution of the nodes on the accuracy of the method as well as the influence of nonlocal conditions on the conditioning of the collocation matrix.

13 Predictive value of alpha-1 antitrypsin level for Z mutation detection in chronic obstructive pulmonary diseaseItem type:Publication, [Predikcinė alfa-1 antitripsino kiekio vertė nustatant Z mutaciją lėtinės obstrukcinės plaučių ligos atveju]research article[2013][S4][S001,M001][7]Biologija = Biology. Vilnius : Lietuvos mokslų akademijos leidykla, 2013, t. 59, Nr. 4., p. 341-347Alpha1-antitrypsin (AAT) deficiency is an under-diagnosed condition in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The aim of our study was to evaluate predictive value of quantitative methods of alpha-1 antitrypsin for Z mutation detection in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Ninety-one AAT deficiency genotypes (40 MZ, 39 MS, 1 SS, 3 SZ and 8 ZZ) were analysed. Calculated sensitivity of quantitative alpha-1 antitrypsin measurement by nephelometry for heterozygous PI*Z allele was 45% and for homozygous ZZ genotype – 88%. Specificity of quantitative alpha-1 antitrypsin analysis for heterozygous deficiency was 98% and for homozygous deficiency – 100%. Thus sensitivity of quantitative alpha- 1 antitrypsin analysis is higher than specificity for both – heterozygous and homozygous deficiency.
8 The concept of creativity and innovativeness assessment in business organizationsItem type:Publication, [Kreativitātes un inovāciju novērtēšanas koncepcija uzņēmumos]research article[2013][S4][S003,S004][9]; Economics and business. Riga : Riga Technical University, 2013, Vol. 24., p. 85-93The article analyses creativity and innovativeness in organisations of service business in Lithuania. Relation between creativity and innovativeness is given, and concepts of creativity and innovativeness, as well as the main research models, are presented. Statistical data and questionnaire survey data analyses are used for the research of the factors of creativity and innovativeness in Lithuania. Research results have shown that more than half of the organisations of the service sector in Lithuania are assessed as not creative; also factors that stimulate creativity are not sufficient for the development of creativity. It is necessary to create a work environment favourable for innovations that would help reveal and develop the creativity of human capital.
