The aim: to identify illegal drug use prevalence rates of some drugs and methods of acquisition among senior pupils from schools in the Northern part of lithuania. method and contingent. In 2006 and 2012 anonymous survey of illegal drug use conducted in the Northern Lithuania among 16–19 year old senior students (1585 boys and 1862 girls). Class participation in the study were selected randomly. In 2006 distributed 2770 questionnaires, but were suitable for analysis – 1177 (response rate 94.2 percent). The statistical analysis of data using SPSS 17.0 for Windows. Results and conclusions. In 2006 and 2012 rates of use of most illicit drugs among students held at almost the same level, but use of marijuana and alcohol with marijuana for 6 years was statistically significantly increased by almost half. in addition to marijuana use among students remain popular club drugs such as amphetamine and ecstasy. The use of other illegal drugs (cocain, crack, LSD, heroin, other drugs intake with a syringe) is not as high as 1 percent. Some students first drug testing usually got a full charge: 32.6 percent received from older friends, 25.5 percent – drugs shared with a group of friends, 14.0 percent received from peers, 3.9 percent had received from unfamiliar people and 2.8 percent got the drugs from strangers. Other students for the first test drugs purchased: 8.5 percent – from friends, 7.1 percent – the unfamiliar people and 2.4 percent – the general stranger. More than half of the pupils to the question whether it is difficult to get the drug, he replied "do not now" or "impossible". However, 26.6 percent stated that it is very easy or fairly easy to obtain cannabis, 16 percent – LSD or other hallucinogens, 11.6 percent – amphetamines, 12.9 percent – ecstasy. That and other drugs is very easy or fairly easy to get – answered in less than 10 percent students.
