The piezoelectric material used in cylindrical transducers requiring high-precision displacements indicates that accuracy depends on design and technological factors. The analyzed criteria have enabled selection of piezoelectric material for optimal mechatronic systems having maximum displacement. Experimental investigation of precision dynamic systems by means of 3D holographic visualization enabled to collect appreciably more information about the vibrating surface in comparison with traditional methods. The developed methodology of analysis of experimental data derived from 3D holographic visualization using holographic measurement stand allowed to obtain results that are indispensable for optimization of design of mechatronic systems or its constituent elements.

The paper presents further development steps of recently proposed model of an adaptive multi-agent-based e-social care system by introducing in it an intelligent power controller to supporting people in a Smart Ecological and Social Apartment, the SESA. The schematic diagrams of the controller are proposed for adaptive control of motors and LED lights as well as for measurements of EDA, HR, and FT signals of inhabitancies in the SESA. The proposed in this paper multi-agent system consists of two groups of agents, first, the agents for human’s physiological data collection, analysis and emotional state detection, and, second, the agents for an intelligent power control which takes environmental and hardware parameters and, with the use of embedded agents, provides adaptive control of LED lights, temperature as well as of power consuming by motors used in the SESA in accordance with the human state defined by the first group of agents.

Electronic devices are considered. In an interval between inspections periodic controls of serviceability are stipulated. The method of definition of accuracy of evaluation of efficiency index of devices is offered. Accuracy is characterized by an error caused by likelihood properties of parameters, influencing an index of efficiency. Error is defined by means of the computing experiment based on a method of statistical modeling. During experiment, 1000 realizations are received. Parameters influencing an index of efficiency are presented by random variables distributed under the rectangular law. Data of computing experiment show that half of width of confidential intervals 99 percent for an index of efficiency does not exceed 0.05 % (of size of a sample mean). Values of factor of variation do not exceed 0.60 %, and the error of evaluation of efficiency index does not exceed 1.80 % (of size of a sample mean).

Electronic devices inspected by using built–in test equipment are analyzed. The method of calculation of efficiency of devices for a case of unsteady Poisson flow of failure is offered. The method is based on estimation of the bottom and top limits for values of efficiency on analyzed interval of exploitation. For this purpose, efficiency of devices for corresponding Poisson flows of failures is calculated. A relative error of definition of efficiency value is defined. As an estimation of an error, its maximal value is used. Computing experiment according to the given error is executed. Experiment considers really possible values of the parameters influencing efficiency of the device. Results of experiment show that the maximal relative error of an estimation of a parameter of efficiency does not exceed 6.5 % .

Processes of globalization and integration are pervasive all over the world, and rapid innovation of advanced transportation systems resulted in enormous increase in number of persons travelling cross-border. Normally, persons crossing the border are checked at the first control line. Therefore, application of innovative methods that allow identification of partial alterations in a document or a fully counterfeit document, for initial checking of documents remains a relevant issue. The holographic interferometry represents one of the non-destructive control methods applicable for document check that enables assessment of defects in the entire area of a document being checked. This paper presents validation of the real-time method of holographic interferometry used for document check as well as parameters of a holographic setup, description of document investigation and analysis of the obtained findings.

Micro dosing and spraying apparatus and its design optimization is presented in the paper. Its functionality is based on the influence of high frequency vibrations generated by piezo-actuator to the flow of liquid substances in a micro tube. The models of the micro dosing elements are presented. Such spray systems provide high accuracy of micro dosing and are applicable in a variety of applications from avionics to medicine. Experimental analysis of the investigated systems is based on laser holographic interferometry which is used for the identification and optimization of working regimes of the system.

The article analyses the problem-based teaming possibilities for a curriculum design in a nonlinear vibration study of a mechanical system. The major attention is paid to the development of digital teaming environment for the studies of nonlinear vibration. The numerical simulation of natural forms of vibration is performed using finite element techniques. Visualization of the mode of vibration is arranged using characteristic functions of the distributing of interference fringes on the surface of vibrating object. The nonlinear vibrations problems are programmed into teaming digital environment. The developed numerical teaming method based on PBL is applied for training international students in the course of Mechanical Vibrations at the International Studies Center of Kaunas University of Technology.
