In the master's thesis "Possibilities and Challenges of Communication and Cooperation between Teachers and Students' Parents: Class Supervisors' Experiences," the aim was to reveal how class supervisors assess their readiness, competencies, and identify the challenges they face and the opportunities they see in cooperating with students' parents. The problem of the thesis is confirmed by the fact that class supervisors lack preparation, knowledge, and that the concept of class supervisor is not clearly defined in the latest documents. The importance of cooperation between schools and communities, especially with students' parents, is highlighted by many documents of the Republic of Lithuania and scholars, but class supervisors have little or no preparation for this challenge. The problematic questions of the thesis are: How do class supervisors understand their role in creating cooperation-based relationships with parents? What difficulties do class supervisors encounter when establishing cooperation-based relationships with parents? What cooperation strategies do class supervisors apply? What competencies, in the opinion of class supervisors, should be improved to enhance the quality of their cooperation with students' parents? The aim of the thesis is to investigate class supervisors' experiences of cooperation with students' parents and to reveal the challenges and opportunities of class supervisors' communication and cooperation with students' parents. The master’s thesis was prepared by analyzing scientific literature and conducting qualitative research. The data was collected using a semi-structured interview method. Eight class supervisors with different professional experiences participated in the study. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the concepts of communication and cooperation, the importance of cooperation with students' parents, the concept, role, and functions of the class supervisor, and the forms and methods of cooperation with parents. In the empirical part, the experiences of class supervisors are analyzed to reveal the challenges faced in achieving successful cooperation with students' parents and the opportunities offered by a positive relationship. The research of the thesis revealed that educators must possess strong personal qualities and continuously develop professionally. It was also noted that the successful cooperation between class supervisors and students' parents depends on the supervisors' readiness, attitudes, experiences, the involvement of students' parents, and even the rules or recommendations set by schools. The study also revealed the desire of class supervisors to continually improve their competencies, as well as the importance of school administrations' motivation.
