Magistro darbe „Vaikų dienos centrų vaidmuo ugdant vaikų socialinius įgūdžius“ nagrinėjamas vaikų socialinių įgūdžių ugdymas dienos centruose, analizuojant šio proceso teorines prielaidas ir socialinių darbuotojų praktines patirtis. Tyrimo aktualumą lemia tai, kad dalis dienos centrus lankančių vaikų auga socialinės rizikos veiksnių paveiktoje aplinkoje, kurioje stokojama nuoseklaus ugdymo, emocinio saugumo ir konstruktyvaus tarpusavio bendravimo pavyzdžių. Ši aplinka ne visada sudaro sąlygas formuotis esminiams socialiniams įgūdžiams, todėl dienos centrai tampa reikšminga socializacijos erdve, kurioje vaikams sudaromos galimybės ugdytis tarpasmeninius, emocinius ir savireguliacijos įgūdžius. Darbo tikslas – teoriniu ir empiriniu aspektu atskleisti vaikų socialinių įgūdžių ugdymo ypatumus dienos centruose.
The master‘s thesis “The Role of Day Centers in Developing Children‘s Social Skills” examines the development of children’s social skills in day centers, analyzing the theoretical assumptions of this process and the practical experience of social workers. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that some of the children attending day centers grow up in an environment affected by social risk factors, where there is a lack of consistent education, emotional security and examples of constructive interpersonal communication. This environment does not always provide the conditions for the formation of essential social skills, so day centers become an important space for socialization, emotional and self- regulation skills. The aim of the work is to reveal the peculiarities of developing children’s social skills in day centers from a theoretical and empirical point of view.
