Magistro baigiamajame darbe nagrinėjama jaunimo savanorystės reikšmė vaikų dienos centruose. Darbo tikslas – atskleisti jaunimo savanorystės reikšmę vaikų dienos centruose. Darbą sudaro trys dalys. Pirmajame aptariama savanorystės samprata ir reikšmė, jaunimo savanorystės su vaikais ypatumai. Antrame analizuojami vaikų dienos centro veiklos ypatumai, atskleidžiant vaikų dienos centrų veiklos teisinį reglamentavimą, vaikų dienos centrų teikiamas paslaugas, jų svarbą bei savanoriškos veiklos galimybės vaikų dienos centruose. Trečioje dalyje pateikiama empirinio tyrimo metodika, pristatomi empirinio tyrimo rezultatai bei diskusija. Pagrindiniai rezultatai: Jaunimo savanorystė yra laisva valia pasirenkama, neatlygintina veikla, kuri kuria vertę tiek pagalbos gavėjui, tiek pačiam savanoriui ir visuomenei. Ji reikšminga jaunimo asmeniniam, socialiniam ir profesiniam augimui, nes ugdo empatiją, atsakomybę, bendravimo ir problemų sprendimo gebėjimus. Tyrimas patvirtino, kad jaunimas savanoriauja vedinas ne tik altruistinių, bet ir saviugdos, patirties įgijimo bei profesinio orientavimosi motyvų. Taigi savanorystė yra abipusę naudą kuriantis procesas. Vaikų dienos centrai yra kompleksinę socialinę pagalbą teikiančios institucijos, orientuotos į vaikų, ypač patiriančių socialinę riziką, gerovės stiprinimą ir socializaciją. Jų veikla apima ugdymą, emocinį palaikymą, socialinių įgūdžių formavimą bei užimtumo organizavimą, tačiau dėl ribotų išteklių sudėtinga užtikrinti individualų dėmesį kiekvienam vaikui. Tyrimu atskleista, kad savanoriai tampa svarbia papildoma pagalba specialistams, prisidedančia prie veiklų įvairovės ir kokybės. Jaunimo savanorystės reikšmė vaikams vaikų dienos centruose pasireiškia per artimą, pasitikėjimu grįstą santykį, kuris padeda vaikams atsiverti ir jaustis saugiai. Savanoriai suteikia emocinį palaikymą, individualų dėmesį, padeda mokytis, stiprina vaikų savivertę ir socialinius įgūdžius, taip pat jie yra teigiamo elgesio pavyzdžiai. Vaikai savanorius vertina teigiamai, jų laukia ir su jais kuria stiprų ryšį, todėl išsiskyrimas pasibaigus savanorystei kelia nusivylimą. Todėl didžiausia savanorystės nauda atsiskleidžia esant jos tęstinumui ir tinkamam savanorių pasirengimui.
The master's thesis examines the significance of youth volunteering in children's day care centers. The aim of the work is to reveal the significance of youth volunteering in children's day care centers. The work consists of three parts. The first part discusses the concept and significance of volunteering, the features of youth volunteering with children. The second part analyzes the features of children's day care center activities, revealing the legal regulation of children's day care center activities, the services provided by children's day care centers, their importance and the possibilities of volunteering in children's day care centers. The third part presents the methodology of the empirical research, presents the results of the empirical research and a discussion. Main results: Youth volunteering is a freely chosen, unpaid activity that creates value for both the recipient of assistance, the volunteer himself and society. It is significant for the personal, social and professional growth of young people, as it develops empathy, responsibility, communication and problem-solving skills. The study confirmed that young people volunteer not only for altruistic reasons, but also for self-development, experience acquisition and professional orientation. Thus, volunteering is a process that creates mutual benefits. Children's day care centers are institutions providing complex social assistance, focused on strengthening the well-being and socialization of children, especially those experiencing social risk. Their activities include education, emotional support, formation of social skills and organization of employment, but due to limited resources it is difficult to ensure individual attention to each child. The study revealed that volunteers become an important additional help to specialists, contributing to the diversity and quality of activities. The significance of youth volunteering for children in children's day care centers is manifested through a close, trust-based relationship, which helps children open up and feel safe. Volunteers provide emotional support, individual attention, help them learn, strengthen children's self-esteem and social skills, and they are also examples of positive behavior. Children view volunteers positively, look forward to them and develop a strong bond with them, so separation after volunteering is disappointing. Therefore, the greatest benefit of volunteering is revealed in its continuity and proper preparation of volunteers.
