Investigation of Challenges of Assuring Supply Chain Resilience

Companies should pay attention to supply chain resilience. Supply chain resilience response for preventing risk events and minimising its impact. Supply chain is a complex phenomenon and logistics is a part of it. The master's thesis identifies and examines the real challenges of assuring logistics. The list of challenges and solutions is based on interviews and questionnaires and presented in a framework. Using a questionnaire, the tendencies of challenges occurrence frequency and possible effectiveness of solutions are identified. It seems that poor data quality is the most frequent challenge in assuring logistics resilience of both the individual company and the logistics network. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the development of a supply chain resilience strategy that can positively impact the economy and well-being of companies involved in supply chains.
