Strategic Programs for Advanced Research and Technology in Europe

Abstract

The SPARTA pilot will demonstrate the setup and assessment of the European SPARTA Cybersecurity Competence Network equipped with 3 powerful instruments (a diligent roadmap committee, mission-oriented research programs, and a governance based on leadership and diversity). SPARTA will develop an ambitious research and innovation roadmap leveraging Europe’s strengths and opportunities, across multiple disciplines, maturity levels, and geographical locations.

SPARTA will launch and execute four Programs validating the operation of the network and performing groundbreaking advances in key areas for Europe’s strategic autonomy. • Full Spectrum Situational Awareness • Continuous Assessment in Polymorphous Environments • High-Assurance Intelligent Infrastructure Toolkit • Secure and Fair AI Systems for Citizen

SPARTA will build on new mechanisms to step up cybersecurity outreach, harmonize training curricula, and significantly strengthen European capacities. SPARTA will be supported by an Associates Council to establish unparalleled traction with European, national, and regional ecosystems, relaying concrete requirements, disruptive ideas, and novel results.
