Savanorystė socialiniame darbe: sąsajos ir įtampos

Socialinis darbas yra viena iš sričių, kurioje gali būti plėtojamos ir realizuojamos savanorystės idėjos. Savanorystės idėjas galima atpažinti socialinio darbo, kaip profesinės veiklos, vertybėse. Savanorystė plėtojama socialiniams darbuotojams įsipareigojant kurti socialinį kapitalą, telkiant ir aktyvinant piliečius socialiniam jautrumui. Savanorių įjungimas į teikiamas paslaugas leidžia jas humanizuoti peržengiant profesionalo ir kliento santykį kaip „išmanančio“ ir „pagalbą gaunančio“, atveriant jį tarpasmeniniam savanorio ir kliento lygiaverčiam dialogui. Savanorių pasitelkimas teikia prasmę ne tik pagalbą gaunantiems, bet ir patiems savanoriams, nes ši veikla įgalina peržengti skirtingas visuomenės grupes skiriančias sienas ir tokiu būdu skatina išeiti iš bet kokio socialinio atsiribojimo. Nepaisant savanorių indėlio į socialinių paslaugų teikimą profesionalaus socialinio darbo istorijoje išryškėja nemažai įtampų, kilusių tarp profesionalių socialinių paslaugų teikėjų ir savanorių. Straipsnio tikslas – išanalizuoti savanorystės bei socialinio darbo sąsajas ir įtampas, atskleidžiant profesionalių socialinių darbuotojų, klientų ir savanorių santykių ypatybes. Uždaviniai: atskleisti istorines savanorystės ir socialinio darbo sąsajas; identifikuoti socialinio darbo, kaip profesionalios veiklos, ir savanorystės, įtampas; identifikuoti savanorystės plėtros galimybes socialiniame darbe. Tyrimo metodai – mokslinės literatūros analizė.

Social work is one of the areas where volunteership ideas could be developed and implemented. Volunteership ideas could be recognised in the values of social work as a professional activity. Volunteership is developed by social workers undertaking to create social capital, involving and activating citizens in terms of social responsiveness. Involvement of volunteers in the services being provided allows their humanisation to step over the relationship of the professional and the client, as the “knowing one” and the “recipient of assistance”, and to open it for equal inter-personal dialog. Involvement of volunteers gives meaning not just to the recipients of assistance, but also to the volunteers , since this activity allows to cross the borders between different groups of society and in this way encourages people to get out of any social dissociation. In spite of the volunteers’ contribution to the provision of social services, quite a lot of strains arising between the professional social service providers and the volunteers in the history of the social work have been highlighted. The goal of the paper is to analyse the correlations and strains between volunteership and social work, disclosing the specifics of relationship among professional social workers, clients and volunteers. The objectives are to disclose the historical correlations of volunteership and social work; to identify the strains of social work as a professional activity and volunteership as well as to identify the potential of volunteership development in the social work. The method of investigation is the analysis of scientific literature.
