When the first volume of "Lithuanian language dictionary" was published a request was made to correct it. They insisted on decreasing materials of dialects, fixate lexis of the Soviet period. The biggest criticism fell upon the explanation of words, phraseology, illustrative material and sources of accumulation of the latter. The purpose of this article is to highlight the main assumptions of ideological corrections, to determine and discuss essential peculiarities of these corrections.
