Progresive taxation stimulates never-discussions, when talking about the leftist politics. Is it actually a goal of social democracy, or just one of its provisions for achievement of social justice? The author analyses programs of Lithuanian social democrats right from establishment of the party and its attitudes towards progressive taxation.
