Firstly, exploratory factor analysis was em-ployed to assess dimensionality of scales. Secondly, relationships between variables were explored using Spearman’s correlation. Thirdly, multiple linear regression was run to test the hypothesized model of relationships. The total sample consists of 120 random selected respondents in public administration organizations in Lithuania. Based on the analysis and syn-thesis of the scientific literature a conceptual model of relationship be-tween intelligence competencies and leadership performance was devel-oped. The theoretical model was supported by empirical evidence from the public administration organizations perspective. In addition the paper compares the impact of intelligence competencies on leadership perfor-mance in public administration and business organizations (empirical evi-dence from previous research). Correlational and regression analyses re-vealed that identified by research innovative intelligence competencies were associated with higher leadership performance.
