Electrical and electronic equipment waste is the one of the fastest growing hazardous waste types in this century. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the efficiency of the implementation of legal regulation of prevention of e-waste in Lithuania. To seek the goal the method of legal document analysis and comparative analysis of legal doctrine is used. The historical comparative method is used for evaluations of changes in the legislation as well as the parallel analysis of legal acts. The main goal is to find a way to improve e-waste legal regulation in Lithuania in the field of prevention, by eliminating dysfunctions in the legal regulation of e-waste prevention management. Electrical and electronic equipment products have become accessible to every consumer; therefore, it can be assumed, that the production and usage of electronic products will continue to grow, and the legal regulation of such waste, in the area of prevention, will remain relevant. Thus, this research has the value not only to humanity but to the environment as well, as it will identify the challenges of the practical implementation of the legal regulation of prevention of e-waste in a globalized environment.
