Šio mokslinio tyrimo tikslas - išsiaiškinti Lietuvos tautinių mažumų galimybes dalyvauti šalies turizmo plėtroje ir pasiūlyti priemones šiai veiklai užtikrinti. Tyrimo objektu pasirinktos lenkų, rusų, žydų ir totorių etninės grupės. Išvadoms daryti reikalinga informacija buvo renkama dviem būdais: susijusios literatūros apžvalga ir nestruktūrizuotais interviu. Literatūros analizė leido išskirti keletą esminių bendruomenių dalyvavimą turizme stabdančių problemų bei jų sprendimo būdų. Pokalbiai su bendruomenių atstovais atskleidė didelę tiriamų tautinių mažumų svarbą ir galimybes skaitinant Lietuvos turizmo plėtrą. Turizmo tyrėjų rekomendacijos ir kalbintų bendruomenių atstovų įžvalgos leido pateikti pasiūlymus Lietuvos etninių bendruomenių dalyvavimui šalies turizmo plėtroje užtikrinti.
The research applied ąualitative approach. Data and Information neededfor the implementation ofthe goals was gathered by means of literature reviews and non-structural interviews. The study showed that national minorities in Lithuania actively participate in tourism related activities which promote both domestic and intemational tourism. It was also revealed that the minorities' contnbution to the development ofthe country's tourism could be even bigger. However, some significant limitations such as unfavourable national politics, lack of competency and finances apply. Nevertheless, the authors believe that if proper measures are taken and the potential of local communities used, Lithuania could produce a much more diverse, interesting and ąualitative tourism product. Thus, using the insights of this and existing research a set of possible measures has been proposed.
