Didėjantis nedarbingumas, privačių įmonių žlugimas, prastėjanti ekonomika verčia vidurinių mokyklų ir gimnazijų absolventus pasirinkti tokias studijas, kurias pabaigę galėtų dirbti valstybės tarnyboje. Viena iš tokių profesijų – Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybos prie Lietuvos Respublikos vidaus reikalų ministerijos (toliau – VSAT) statutinis pareigūnas. Straipsnyje analizuojama specialiųjų dalykų įtaka karjeros pasirinkimui, siekiama atskleisti specialiųjų dalykų reikalingumą ir parodyti, kad didžioji dalis Teisės ir valstybės sienos apsaugos studijų programos absolventų darbinasi VSAT padaliniuose, iš jų ir atliekančiuose operatyvinę veiklą. Mokslinio tyrimo tikslas – išanalizuoti specialiųjų dalykų dėstymo problematiką ir jų įtaką formuojant būsimų pareigūnų požiūrį į darbą pasienyje, taip pat pateikti išvadas ir parengti pasiūlymus šiuo klausimu. Tyrimo objektas – specialiųjų dalykų dėstymo metodika. Tyrimo metodas – buvusių studentų, šiuo metu dirbančių VSAT padaliniuose, apklausa bei Teisės ir valstybės sienos apsaugos studijų programos absolventų anketavimas.
The purpose of the article is to prove the necessity of special subjects and to present the fact that majority of graduates of Law and State border Guard Service study programme is employed in State Border Guard Service ( SBGS ) units and in such fulfilling operational activities too. While preparing the article former graduates who are employed in SBGS units and present graduates have been investigated. The investigation indicated that the greatest part of former graduates were employed at frontiers service. More than a half of them have been employed in subdivisions fulfilling operational activities. Former graduates have presented the following proposals: • To present more information about the peculiarities of profession during the studies; • To give more attention to such subjects that have knowledge useful to selected profession; • To allow students to deal with practical situations and to take decisions more selfindependently. The results of investigation have indicated that former graduates are not out of conceit with profession and that studies have justified their expectations as well as the opinion that special subjects form opinion about future functions and career. Findings: 1. Perfect the teaching methods of special subjects; 2. Give more attention to practical training; 3. Apply on advanced experience of SBGD; 4. Provide more possibilities for students to take decisions self-independently; 5. Constantly explain the advantages of profession and form positive attitude towards career.
