Informacinių technologijų specialistai jau seniai siekia, kad užsienio kalbų mokymas(is) naudojant kompiuterius turėtų užimti centrinę vietą universitetiniame mokyme(si). Šiame kontekste ypatingai svarbu, kad užsienio kalbų dėstytojas parinktų efektyviai veikiančią internetinę mokymo medžiagą. Straipsnyje pateikiami mokymo medžiagos rinkimo ir sudarymo variantai Mykolo Romerio universiteto Teisės ir Viešo administravimo programų studentams, panaudojant BBC NEWS tinklalapio medžiagą. Straipsnyje taip pat pateikiamos lentelės, kuriose matomas technologijų panaudojimo efektyvumas mokant studentus užsienio kalbos.
Educational technologists have long been emphasizing that computer based teaching of foreign languages should occupy a central position in university teaching and learning. In this respect, however, it is crucial for a teacher to choose efficient software and materials for study and establish their educational effects. This article focuses on BBC NEWS site as a source for ESP teaching/learning materials highlighting the issues which work especially well in teaching Law and Public administration students at M. Romeris University. It also tries to assess the effectiveness of the use of technologies on language learning.
