The article deals with the analysis of the importance of business administration students, which discloses its changes in comparison to the situation of the first crop of the alumni, as well as relating it to their readiness for practical activity in emphasising modern teaching methods applied at different subjects of teaching and revealing changes of the bachelor's study programme in business administration. In addition, the article analyses the results of the survey of full-time students on the practice, which was performed in 2008. In training business administration specialists, it is necessary to project theoretical modes for solution of business phenomena by assessing applicable tools of economical and organisational sciences. It is necessary to consider external and internal aspects of organization’s activity. Students at study programmes in business administration study theoretical fundamentals of business and develop practical skills of a business game. During further study process they get deeper specific subjects of their speciality, i.e. marketing, marketing research, business finances, accounting, international business, international business communication, business ethics, organisational behaviour, entrepreneurship, etc. For mastering of the above-mentioned subjects students during practical classes acquire skills of different learning methods - simulation games, case analysis, role-plays, interactive learning, etc. The skills obtained by means of the above-mentioned methods contribute to the development of future employees' competence.
