The monograph by E.Palskys is the first original research work in which the development of the Lithuanian criminalistics in the period of 1918-1940 is being analysed, the role of criminalistics in the fight against crime and scientific evaluation of the criminalistics of that time is submitted. According to the evaluation of the reviewers this research work meets the requirements of habilitated works. The monograph is of great use to the representatives of criminal justice sciences, officers of law enforcement, it can be recommended to the students of law.
