Challenges and perspectives of the practice of specialists of public health care bureaus in the environment of student education are highlighted in the article. The data collection of qualitative phenomenological research was conducted by applying an interview. 5 public health care specialists working in schools (Lithuania, Vilnius setting) took part in the research. Public health specialists experience the vagueness of their activity, the clash with teachers when both the limits of their activity, and personal and collective responsibility are not clear. The perspective of the activity of public health specialists is linked to inter-professional cooperation, the support by teachers and school administration, informal participation corresponding to the needs of students and supported by teachers when educating student health in the environment of school and outside of it; targeted satisfaction of the needs for individualized assistance for the student (or/and their groups).
