Tyrimo apribojimai – kolektyvinis intelektas gali formuotis ne tik specialiai šiam tikslui sukurtose platformose t.y. ir bendraujant neformaliose aplinkose, todėl neįmanoma apžvelgti absoliučiai visų virtualių bendruomenių; Praktinis pritaikomumas – norint kurti, organizuoti bei vystyti sėkmingas virtualias bendruomenes bei panaudoti jų turimus išteklius įvairioms problemoms spręsti, svarbu pažinti skirtingus bendruomenių tipus; Originalumas – straipsnyje atlikta mokslinės literatūros ir atskirų virtualių bendruomeninių projektų atvejų analizė leidžia įvertinti Lietuvoje veikiančių virtualių bendruomenių įvairovę bei įvertinti jų vystymosi perspektyvas besikeičiančioje technologinėje aplinkoje.
Results – theoretical analysis has revealed that implementation of social virtual projects in Lithuania face a number of recurring problems, such as – limited number of active users, lack of trust in online platforms, disbelief, it is possible to change the well-established patterns of social activity. Unfortunately, no further research has been conducted in order to analyze implementation of similar projects and improved creation of collective intelligence; Research limitations/implications – social problems can be discussed and collective intelligence can be formed not only in developed platforms but also in informal environments, so the review is limited to the formalized initiatives with public access. Practical implications – in order to create, organize, and develop successful virtual community projects and to use the resources at their disposal when tackling important social issues it is important to comprehend different types of communities. After the analysis of scientific literature and analysis of Lithuanian cyberspace revealed several problematic issues. Solutions of these problems would allow more efficient project management and creation of CI; Originality/Value – scientific analysis of literature and qualitative analysis of selected cases allows to asses latest directions of CI formation in virtual communities and to familiarize with the development of existing and emerging virtual community projects.
