The objective of this scoping review is to map existing evidence on the characteristics of child maltreatment pre-, during and immediately post-COVID-19 in Euro-CAN COST Action countries. The main aims of this scoping review are: 1) to identify both type and extent of available evidence and existing gaps, 2) to ascertain the need and feasibility of conducting a systematic review. The review follows the methodological framework by the Joanna Briggs Institute. It will be reported according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) extension for scoping reviews statement and the results will be disseminated will be disseminated through conference presentations and publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
