This article reviews the evolving concept of sustainability in manufacturing logistics, focusing on the integration of sustainable practices across supply chains. A comprehensive literature review was conducted and key aspects of sustainability in manufacturing logistics were analysed, such as resource optimisation, waste reduction and the role of third-party logistics services. The study highlights the challenges faced by manufacturing logistics in achieving sustainability, including technological, regulatory and operational barriers, and explores future opportunities such as green technologies and digital tools to enhance transparency. A key finding is the importance of coordinated industry efforts for advancing sustainability while maintaining competitiveness.
