Creation of an integrated health care system is determined by the increasing number of the chronically sick patients, aging society and emancipation of elderly people. An integrated health care system contributes to less asymmetrical information, lower operational costs and increased efficiency. The factors of an integrated health care system evaluation fall into the groups of aims (efficiency and social return), services (targeted for integration), processes (administration, organization, policy, governance, models, technologies, innovations, clinical work), consumers (population groups that need health care services, targeted population), outputs (variety of services provided, average duration of service provision) and results (changes in patients’ health well-being, life quality, general social welfare of the country and patients’ satisfaction).
